Nancy Tng is looking after her mother, an elderly with Dementia. She works full-time and eventually had to look for assistance when the challenge of juggling work life and caregiving became heavier.
Initially, Nancy tried sending her mother to a daycare center, but she found that her 76-year-old mom had a hard time adjusting and fitting in. Nancy had little choice but seek other options, and that was when she found CaregiverAsia. “I was looking for help, and when I searched [online] for a caregiver, CaregiverAsia appears,” she said.
Nancy then called CaregiverAsia to inquire about part-time elderly care and relieved to know many of the care companions are experienced in taking care of elderly with dementia. For someone who was new to the idea of home care for the elderly, her first experience with the caregiver superseded her expectation. She explained: “The caregiver whom I met was friendly and matured. She shared similar experiences she went through, and I felt comfortable with her.”

Nancy also lauded CaregiverAsia and the caregiver for practicing flexibility in regards to appointment scheduling. “My mother could only take a two-hour regimen and not the three-hour slot as initially offered. I am glad that there is flexibility practiced here that meets my requirement,” she commented.
Flexibility is of particular importance because every family situation is unique. Thus it’s crucial that the caregivers listed with CaregiverAsia allow flexible booking to meet the needs of each family, Nancy concluded.
